NEXT, the New Vodka in Russia





After researching the beverage markets in Russia and knowing the drinking patterns of Russians, I decided to create an alternative beer, NEXT. NEXT is alcoholic free, healthier, and more affordable than other beverages in the market.

Next will be introduced as new alternative Vodka in Russia to help Russians solve some of the drinking issues such as drinking and driving, alcoholic poisoning, and so on. Project included developing a marketing strategy, creating a process map, naming conventions, designing visual style boards that describe “look and feel”, developing identity, designing business papers, and packaging system for NEXT.

The branding idea of SAM is based on its vision -
SAM connects art to life.

Simple sketches are something that everyone can relate to because no matter what race, nationality, or age of people, everyone scribbles. Scribble drawings are everywhere because people do it all the time either when brainstorming or just relaxing. It’s part of peoples’ lives. In addition, line is also the basic element of the arts; everything is the combination of shapes and lines. In giving SAM a personality, a character, and making it just like a friend to its audience. The sketch style logo will show the casualness of SAM, and connects SAM with its audience.

Sound Music Records





Sound Music is a new established music record company located in the Seattle Puget sound area. Sound Music Records discovers talented underground artists and helps them to pursue their dreams. I was honored to be asked to brand the company, and designed their very first music sampler CD. I created an identity that looked like an arrow going up, symboling the growing business and the up and coming underground talents. I created lyric pages that reflected the themes of the songs. And for the sampler, I kept the design simple by using only the logo itself as the main element to promote the new established company.

Brochure is designed to show off the advantages of joining the suite at Qwest field, the suite that provides you with first-class service and strive to make your suite experience the premium setting in which to entertain your guests.

BioSphere, an education, interactive, video game that focuses on environmental issues.






For my BFA thesis project, I have chosen to explore the gaming industry and create an educational video game by using both of my strengths in graphic design and illustration. I want to utilize the power of video games and create positive learning experience for kids and young adults from age 13 to 28.

The game incorporates exciting motion graphics, sounds, and dynamic characters that immerse players into an interactive and positive learning environment.

PNACAC Spring College Fair Poster




PNACAC is a regional affiliate of the National Association for College Admission Counseling, an educational association of secondary school counselors, college and university admission officers and counselors, and related individuals who work with students as they make the transition from high school to postsecondary education. PNACAC serves the states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.

The concept behind the sunflower is to show spring and welcomeness. The eye in the sunflower represents counselors of PNACAC who will help you to see your future, and plan it to be as bright as the sunflower.

Rolodex, the Alternative Resource Guide




Project Definition
Seattle’s Office of Sustainability (OSE) and SPU is requesting the senior design students from Cornish College of the Arts to redesign the Environmental and Community Service Recourse Guide to be more engaging and accessible to their audiences.

Problems of the current Resource Guide
• The current Resource Guide is not engaging in terms of composition, color, and visual hierarchy, and
• The icons that are used in the Resource Guide have no unity because the styles are different (cartoon, illustration), and
• Some icons have English involved, which are not accessible to the consumers who don’t speak much English.

Solutions
I invented an effective icon system targeting both native English speakers and English as second language speakers. An icon system that is easy to understand and follow. The icon system have a consistent style and work effectively either together or individually without much support of text.

System Goals
• Invent an effective icon system that is consistent, easy to understand,
• Find different deliverable that are more engaging to the audiences,
• Redesign a Resource Guide that is worth keeping, and
• Find an effective delivery system for receiving materials.

Design Considerations
City Wide, Memorable, Keepable, Usable. Multi-purpose.
